Could it be that the family you are born into is a simulation of the identities you’ve encountered in previous lives? These relatives will serve as reminders as to who you were. You are the lineage of people that have come before you and are the sum of those who surround you. Could we be walking in a parallel universe that allows us to communicate with former versions of ourselves while in present form?

If there is a cycle to be broken within your family, it is the responsibility of the recognizer to ensure the cycle is broken. After all, we lead by example. Purpose can absolutely be tied to courage. No guts, no glory.

Could you be alive to set an example and build a legacy? Maybe when you die and return, you are re-assigned to the family for which you were tasked with building a legacy. If your family’s name is not synonymous with excellence, you and your relatives may need to come together and work harder.
